Description
The Tunnels & Shields set is the ultimate cubby level-up, multiplying the fun when you use it in conjunction with your other Possum Play pieces, or serving up a world of imaginative play all on its own.
Each set comes with 2 square bases sewn together with built in tunnels. Remove the shield doors to create doorways to worlds of imaginative play beyond!
Like all Possum Play pieces the Tunnels & Shields are incredibly versatile. As well as making a great addition to cubby builds, the Tunnels are a dream for obstacle-courses, peek-a-boo play, and setting up movie-night loungers.
The Shields are the perfect size to hoisted and wielded by little hands, and a perfectly placed handle makes for easy gripping.

Dimensions
The Tunnels cushion measures 168cm (W) x 84cm (H) x 12.5cm (D). It is the same length/width as the Possum Play Couch.
Each Shield measures 53cm (H) x 42cm (W) x 12.5cm (D)

Materials
Possum Play pieces are made of the most durable and safe materials on the market.
- CertiPUR-US® certified foam. Our foam is made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals.
- STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified, brushed microsuede covers. We love microsuede because it is super durable (stain resistant, machine washable, shrink-resistant) whilst also being super soft and smooth against the skin.
- YKK Zippers®. All our zippers come with rounded heads and fabric 'zipper garages' to prevent scratches and snags.

We added the tunnels and Sheilds as a Christmas present for our 2 and 6 year old after gifting the full couch last Christmas.
They absolutely love it and creativity is soaring.
Also still looks great and works as a useable couch as this sits in our living room.

My kids play with the couch every day. It has been used as everything but a place to lounge : ) I added the shields and tunnels to the pile and they are a great addition. So easy to stack at the end of play. I’ll also note the corduroy cover is quite an upgrade, looks and feels great. I appreciate how easy all their fabrics are to clean
We needed something for our grandchildren for sleep overs and fell across the possum play couch, this fits into our small 3rd bedroom really well, it creates 2 single sleeping areas or 1 larger area OR it’s a den, a castle, a train, a boat and ice cream shop!! Or even more. I was really pleased with the quality and ease of cleaning. Also it’s mesmerising watching the cushions expand once unpacked into substantial shapes and sizes. I may even add to the collection!
I find when not in use that stacking into a tall pile works really well.
We’ve loved adding the tunnel and shields to our existing play couch set. We’ve been using the thin layer in the kids bedroom so our main play couch has been sitting thin. The tunnels add-on has brought the play couch back to a good height and we loved creating cubby houses with doors, cinema seats and getting energy out bashing the shields together.

Hours of laughing and playing
A good play product with lots of imaginative construction opportunities. A quality finish, everything fits together really well and the covering fabric is pleasant to touch but hard wearing. The foam inners are resilient but not too firm. Works well as emergency extra bed too!
Awesome addition to the play coach we have. We’ve used as a tunnel, arm chair, shield for playing knights and dragons! Endless fun so far.
Great addition to the other pieces i have purchased. Children spend alot of time playing and creating with all the pieces. Great product.

Children have had great fun building dens with the play couch and the tunnels/shields are a great addition. The play couch is used daily and has been a great investment for our family. Shipping was really quick ahead of Christmas with the vacuum sealed pieces still amazing! Can’t believe that it is sent so compacted and regains shape essentially overnight. Would highly recommend for any young family.

I purchased this set for my granddaughters (4 and 2) for Christmas to add to their basic set. They love the addition and the new pieces have enhanced their play.
We’ve got quite a few shapes but these really add to building forts and dens.

A little dissapointed that it is a different thickness to the base or the original couch so each wall it a diffent thickness when making the cubby making it not very even
We have a base set, and adding these arches has extended our build opportunities but most importantly… made an even more comfortable option for me to sit in! If you are on the fence, take the plunge.

We thought we’d maxed out what the Possum Play Couch could do — then we added the Tunnel & Shields. Game. Changer. Suddenly, every build is more exciting, more sturdy, and way more fun. Really impressed with the quality – firm, supportive, and they hold their shape beautifully (no sagging or slipping during play). Our 5yo and 2yo have been obsessed — crawling through the tunnel, climbing over the shields, and turning them into all kinds of builds with their Possum Play Couch. I’ve even found myself using one as a backrest while hanging out in the playroom. Great addition to our setup!
